Installing Ubuntu 14.04 in VirtualBox

VirtualBox

VirtualBox is a free and opensource software application that can be used to create virtual machines on a desktop. The software can be downloaded from VirtualBox.org. If you plan on running virtual machines from a desktop computer this software works great.

Ubuntu

The Ubuntu operating system can be downloaded from the Ubuntu.com website. The download file will be an .iso file that is an entire disk image. Rather than burning it to a disk, virtual machines can use the .iso file directly.

The installation takes about 25 minutes to setup.
